Feature 001

As a hobby stock-artist I've had the pleasure for the past few years of seeing people create all kind of Art with the help of my free resources, uploaded on my DeviantArt Stock Account.
As of today, I would like to feature one of these works every now and then.
Kind of sporadic... whenever I feel like it. ;)

 Hair. by Vildensky

This deviation from a Deviant Artist has been created and submitted a few years ago, but it's still one of my favourites. It shows a digital illustration with a slight photomanipulation of the background via cardboard texture (*coughs* which itself was made by yours truly *coughs*).

In no way do I claim or imply to be the creator of the art displayed above.
It only has partially pieces of my free 2D & 3D downloadable stocks/resources in it.

Linkage Love - Origami

I have been in a folding mood lately, so I tried some Origami Tutorial these past days, and because it's been sometime since I last really did some serious paper folding I went online through the pages and people... trying out their instructions.
I had a lot of fun, so I thought of sharing them with you.

This make pretty water bombs and/or 'Lanterns'

Hearty Bookmarks for the Bookworms of us :)

This box tutorial comes even as a video!

You know those little, chibi Stars... here an easy to follow Tut

Or have some Flutterbies...

By clicking the links, you get to the directions. :)
Which of these is your favourite? Or better, which seemed to you the easiest?
Have fun... and enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Tumblr Tuesday XVIII

Lately I've been inspired to have some plants in my bedroom, bathroom and/or living room.
But with my brown thumb that's always been a problem, still these images are so worth a thought or two! :) Maybe I'll find a few low maintenance plants, someday...
(Links are below the images, should you fancy to Like them on Tumblr and for Crediting.)

What are your thoughts on plants at home? -Yayz or a total No-Go?
Any suggestions on easy to handle yet beautiful plants? -I would love to know.
And what about your "Thumb"... is it green or rather brown?

Yours,
 Nokta

On Pinterest...

Like all the other fellow Lemmings out there on the interwebz I got myself a Pinterest account, when it was still new.
To tell the truth, I gave myself some time before I got one, 'cause I just didn't get the hype around it at the time, after all it was just another variation of "We Heart It", which I had already been a part of for some time prior to Pinterest even having been founded.

Well, anyway... I didn't touch my Account for some time after getting it.
However in 2012 I started to like a few pins here and added one myself there, but still didn't like it that much.
This year though, I have been using it more frequently for private as well as other reasons, and it also has gotten more 'entertaining' in its way. I especially like combining it with other Accounts of mine, such as Tumblr and Youtube.

DIY Ideas

Wonderful images, aren't they? :)
Do you have a Pinterest Account? What do you use it for?
Mine can be found here... -> Nokta Pins!

Nokta reads 05/2014...

Oh wow, almost half of the year gone, hm?
I have been reading my way through my annual reading List for 2014.
With a few change here & there.

Colorado Kid (The Colorado Kid) - Stephen King
★★★★★★☆☆☆☆
This Book was not one of his remarkable works.
I was quite disappointed of a book, of which I thought had all the right requirements for one of the better pulp/mystery fictions.
And while it wasn't that bad, I felt let down by King.

Auch du kannst meditieren: Schritt für Schritt zu Klarheit, Gelassenheit und innerer Stärke (The Brightened Mind: A Simple Guide to Buddhist Meditation) - Ajahn Sumano Bhikkhu
★★★★★★★★☆☆
I still didn't get what I wanted, but when compared... this book on meditation was much better, than the last one from April.
One thing I didn't like, was the way he was trying to sell this book, to rich young mothers, yuppies and/or upper society slackers and the like.
It felt a bit like at one point... take a sip of this hip Decaf double chocolate chip Frappuccino with a spritz of Vanilla Syrup, while reading my book on your newest, over-priced iTelPhone in that useless neon-pink Case... wearing that new Lululimon yoga outfit, hand made by children in the 3'rd World 'cause it's hip... wait, what do you mean that Mermaid-coffee isn't Organic?
You will never be Zen!!!

Englisch im Job: TaschenGuide - Gertrud Goudswaard & Sander Schroevers
★★★★☆☆☆☆☆☆
I am glad I didn't pay for this one, there weren't a lot of new things in it.
Seems like my Business English is quite good.

(Unfortunately no book photographs, again all were read through my phone...)

I wish everyone a happy & sunny Weekend. What are you going to do, btw?
Here, where I live, we will have a long Weekend. So maybe we will read from each other on my free Monday... *yayz*

 Nokta

Tumblr Tuesday XVII

I don't know about you but I have a love for Books since my Parents (foremost of all my Father) put one in my Hand when I was very, very small.
Over the Years it has become a little Obsession of mine. And you won't find me without a Book near me of one kind or another.
So imagine my shock and displeasure, when I found no Tuesday in this Series featuring Books. ಠ_ಠ
(Links are below the images, should you fancy to Like them on Tumblr and for Crediting of course.)

So many Books, so little Time.
- Frank Zappa

I hope you had a good Start into the new Week & June... and good Weather, of course.
Happy reading to you... ;)

Yours,
 Nokta
